Push the drum unit into the printer until it clicks into place.Ĥ. Turn the blue lock lever clockwise to the lock position. Match the guide ends of the drum unit to the triangle marks on both sides of the machine, and then gently slide the drum unit into the machine until it stops at the blue lock lever. Make sure the blue lock lever is in the release position as shown below. Hold the hand of the toner cartridge and slide it into the appropriate colored section of the drum unit until it clicks into place. After cleaning the drum unit, turn the drum over to the correct position. Repeat steps 3h - 3i if you are getting horizontal lines with a different color. Clean the entire drum roller by turning the edge of the drum unit towards you by hand or by pushing with your thumb. With a soft, dry cloth clean the drum unit using a side to side motion. Turn the drum unit gear toward you by hand while looking at surface of the suspeced area. Make sure that the drum unit gears are on the left side.
Turn the drum unit over by holding the blue handles. We recommend that you place the drum on a clean, flat surface with a sheet of disposable paper or cloth underneath it in case you accidentally spill or scatter toner. $ Note Hold the blue handles of the drum unit when you carry it, do not hold the sides of the drum unit. Holding the blue handles of the drum unit, lift the front of the drum unit and remove it from the machine. Turn the blue lock lever at the left of the machine counterclockwise to the release position. Repeat step 3d to clean each of the remaining three corona wires.į. If you do not, printed pages may have a vertical stripe.Į. $ Note Be sure to return the tab to the home position. If you do not return it to the home position, it could result in a vertical stripe down printed pages. Be sure to return the tab to the home position. Clean all four corona wires inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab for each color from left to right at list 15 to 20 times for each color. If the vertical line is from the top to bottom on both pages that are printed, go to step 3 to clean the corona wire for the color line you see on the test pattern. Review the two pages that are printed to identify the color causing the problem.
